The committees with Chief Technical Officer, Tn Hj Ahmad Zamanhuri Shoib and Chief Marketing Officer, En. Mohd Isharudden Ismail.	In an effort to keep excellent relationship with the customers, Fiberail Sdn. Bhd. had organised a bowling tournament between customers called Bowling Fiesta 2009!. A total number of 27 teams competed in the tournament and each team consisted of 4 participants. Held at Sunway Megalanes, Sunway Pyramid on 4 July 2009, this event had become another bridge to connect a closer relationship between Fiberail and its customers. After 3 games that took almost 3 hours, the team from CELCOM had emerged as the champion with the accumulated scores of 2006 pins. The first runner-up went to Maxis Team A, scoring 1934 pins and U-Mobile team was the second runner-up with the score of 1684 pins. Ms. Mastura Wanchik from Maxis Team A had the highest scores among the females which led her to win the category. With 521 pins, she beated her own team mate, Ms. Fakhriah who came in the second place with 480 pins. On the other hand, with 471 pins, Ms Roshidah from Global Transit team won the third place. Being part of the champion team, Mr Khairul Nizam won the Male category with 552 pins while his team mate Mr Mohd Suhainan came in second with 528 pins. Mr Baharuddin did not disappoint his team mates from U-Mobile by winning the third place with 516 pins. The prizes were given away by Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Isharudden Ismail and Chief Technical Officer, Tuan Hj Ahmad Zamanhuri Shoib. To further strengthen the relationships between staffs, Fiberail had successfully organised three batches of Motivation Camp throughout the month of May and June. The camps were held at Legend Resort, Cherating, Pahang and attended by all 187 staffs. The participants were also honored by the presence of all Management Committee Members ; Mr. Rossman Omar - Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ang Meng Hee - Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Isharudden Ismail - Chief Marketing Officer and Tuan Hj. Ahmad Zamanhuri Shoib - Chief Technical Officer. As a continuation of the Team Enhancement programme that Fiberail had in 2008, the Motivational Camp was another platform to inculcate the importance of strong teamwork and to sustain the momentum of staff motivational level as the company. During the camp, all participants were given talks by the well-known motivator, Dato’ Dr. Hj. Mohd. Fadzilah Kamsah and briefing on Occupational Safety & Health by the representatives from TM. By organising this event, Fiberail will ensure that the company sustains a competent and highly motivated workforce as well as maintaining a strong team synergy in a very competitive business environment.

In support of National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM), Fiberail has become one of the main sponsors for Relay for Life KL 2009. The event will be held on 30 May 2009 to celebrate the advances in cancer, saving lives by prevention. Staged in over 22 countries in 4800 communities worldwide with 3.5 million participants, it is also organised to remember the ones lost and vow to make a difference in the lives of the future generations. On 19 May 2009, Fiberail attended the press launch to present the cheque to Dato' Zuraidah Atan, the Honorary Advisor of NCSM cum Chairperson for Relay for Life KL 2009. Held at the Resource and Wellness Centre, NCSM Building , the opening keynote address was made by Dr Saunthari Somasundaram, the Medical Director of NCSM who also explained the background of the society. The launch was also attended by Datin Azura Bahaman, the President of the cancer support group Pink Unity. After the cheque presentation and photography session, guests including the press were treated to a private tour of NCSM building where everyone had the chance to see how all the medical equipment functioned, explained by the doctors in charge. Relay for Life is a high-spirited event where everyone in the community can join in the fight against cancer. 16 hours will be filled with activities and families from all over the country will come together to give their support. Fiberail is honored to get this chance to contribute back to the society and therefore looking forward to be part of this meaningful event.


Seated L-R : Management Committee Members Standing L-R : Group CEO Merit Award 2009 recipients	On 12 May 2009, a special event was held at Fiberail headquarters to celebrate seven outstanding Fiberail staff as the recipients of Group CEO Merit Award for 2009. The award was meant to recognize their hard work and excellent performance in 2008 where they showed exemplary commitment and dedication. The recipients were En. Zulkifli Sakrani, En. A. Suzlan Shah Adam, En. Azman Anuar, En. Norazmi Dato' Termuzi, En. Kamal Sulaiman, En. Mohd Supian Abdullah and En. Mohd Ali Jinnah Abdul Hamid. Dato' Zam Isa, Group CEO of TM, in his letter urged the recipients to play their part in encouraging the team to share their enthusiasm and desire to succeed. He also quoted one great philosopher who said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” All of us in Fiberail would like to pass on good wishes to all recipients and hope that this award will motivate everyone to work harder. Congratulations!

On 11 April 2009, a total of 2,500 Warga TM witnessed as Fiberail Sdn. Bhd. was awarded the Company of the Year during TM Group Awards Nite at Dewan Merdeka, PWTC.

It was an excellent event and Fiberail is very grateful and proud to receive this acknowledgement since this is also the company's first nomination ever. This award is not only a success of the company but also a tribute to all management and staff for their commitment and hard work.

Presenting the award was Tan Sri Ir. Md Radzi Mansor, Chairman of TM witnessed by Dato' Zam Isa, Group CEO and Dato' Aziz, the Chairman of the Organising Committee. En. Rossman Omar was quoted after the event saying, “Moving forward, this ‘Company of the Year' award will definitely set a higher spirit for all Fiberail members to improve the performance of our company and also TM Group for the year 2009 onwards.”
